Our concept for an efficient purification of landfill leachate

General situation:
Landfill leachate is a complex “cocktail” of various biodegradable and non-biodegradable pollutants. The biological treatment is often the first class solution, but the residual organic or inorganic substances have to be removed by cost intensive physico-chemical treatment.

Our solution:
The new and internationally patent protected process concept DeSiFloc includes a novel flocculation process unit, which could separate the pollutants in a more efficient and cost-effective way in comparison to common processes. After a biological treatment step, the non-biodegradable ingredients are flocculated in the FlocFormer process by targeted polymer-flocculation and separated by a filtration or separation unit.

Your benefit:
With the application of FlocFormer in the landfill leachate treatment, the whole process will be aligned in terms of process engineering and economic aspects. The focus is a cost-effective solution for the whole process chain. The biodegradable pollutants such as a lot of nitrogenous substances will be eliminated in a biological step, followed by the separation of all non-biodegradable compounds by the FlocFormer and separation unit. This combination of specialized process units will lead to an easy to optimize treatment plant with high stability of operation. Additionally, the plant could be easily adapted to changing specifications as loads or flow rates.
